LBC
first broadcast was on 23 August 1985. It was the first private TV
station in Lebanon, and soon established itself as the prime TV
station in Lebanon. The international service was launched in April
1996. LBC replicated its success in the Arab world and wherever
Arabs resided overseas.
Many of
LBC programs have become smash hits and instant classics. The
flagship "Studio El Fan" was relaunched on LBC as the prime amateur
and talent search program, which has developed to become the leading
school through which numerous artists have graduated. Many lead the
top twenty charts in the Arab World. In addition many have become
reporters, newspapers and anchors in LBC and other TV stations in
the Arab world. LBC news and current affairs service prides itself
with its dating commentary and fairness, which made LBC the favorite
news provider to many Lebanese in Lebanon and overseas. Moreover,
LBC produces drama and comedy series that compete successfully with
other Arab production houses.

International continues to be the most sought after channel by the
great majority of Lebanese and many Arabs, and has proven itself as
a formidable competitor in the cutthroat environment. |
